    Euronymous...

I'm alost positive he used a JCM800. This is straight off Wikipedia, but it sounds about right... Euronymous played a Standard sunburst Gibson Les Paul guitar, which can be seen in many pictures of him playing. He stated in various interviews that his main guitar influences were bands such as...

    Euronymous...

I'm pretty sure Euronymous used a JCM800 with just some sort of distortion. Most of the heavy shit in the 80's is all boosted JCM800s. Chuck Shuldiner didn't start using Valvestates until the 90's and by that time Death wasn't doing the thrash thing.

    Euronymous...

Oh my god, I've been thinking the same thing. His tone on Deathcrush is literally the heaviest sounding guitar I have ever heard.

    That twangy sound...?

Yeah I know... That's what I was thinking at first too. But then I remembered Death didn't start using valvestates until around '92 or so. That clip was from '88.

hmm... Let me think of an example. You would probably be the person to understand what I mean.... YouTube - Death - Denial of life (Live 1988) Ok, this at 0:44 seconds. It is very brief but you can hear it. It's also through out the whole video. I need that evil sound.

Popping/fuzz sound when I turn my amp on?

Probably something obvious that I'm missing but when I switch my 6100LM to standby and then switch it back it makes sore of a popping and fizzing noise? I can't really explain it. It only lasts for about a second. Is this normal? I think I must have something switched to the wrong setting on the...

    Sweetwater pre-ordering MG-4's

The MGs are great for playing around by yourself. You can do lots of diddling with them and they don't sound half bad. Thing I noticed with mine is that it doesn't feel like a cheap amp when you play it.
