    Hi MartyStrat54....you're quite right that new tubes doesn't guarantee anything.....in fact, I've read so many comments and homepages, where it's stated that quite a big percentage of tubes are faulty from the factory, or shortly after start using them..... I had my amp on for at aboutt 15...

    Hi again A little update....I just found that my tubes had gone up to as much as 91,3 mV....I have now turned it down to about 85,5...and see what I get from here.... Originally I set it at 88, apparantly the tubes need a re-bias several times when new.... So far the sound is more round...

    Many thanks to you all for your helpful replies....I will rebias it to 85 or 86 and see if this reduce the heat a little, as well as testing if the sound improves.... If this improves the sound I can keep this setting, otherwise they'll go back to 88.... Besides, the sound is more important...
