    The Infamous Gibson Tuning Problem

Does that mean you had to change it out that many times, or was it still good, but just not adjusted to what you wanted the first few times? Just wondering how hard it is to do without actually wrecking one.

Sort Of A Cool Story... Well For One Of Us Anyways... Mods, Me And My White Marshall

Ok, just wondering as I've never had the chance to hook onto a 1982, so wondered how big a difference there actually was. Or if it was all just a matter of personal liking. Cool story either way!

Sort Of A Cool Story... Well For One Of Us Anyways... Mods, Me And My White Marshall

Have you ever tried it with a 1960 cab just to see?

50 Marshall Ns2's Played At Once

A perfect demonstration of what the word 'headroom' actually means, lol. Just wasn't any with the little guys, although they actually seem like they would sound ok used in the right area. Would be funny seeing someone walk into a store and order that many. :)

    Nad: Dsl100h

You won't be sorry. I loved mine right from the start, with the exception of the backwards standby switch, lol. Enjoy!! :jam:

    New Dsl 100 Reliability?

I've had my 100 for two years and no issues at all. It's always done what I've wanted it to, and never been sorry I went with it over the 800, which was my other option, but at three times the cost. I would buy new over used, but that is just me. Unless of course you knew the history on it, who...

The Complete Silver Jubilee Halfstack Is Now Mine!

Cool! What is actually different from a regular 1960? I haven't researched the Js' at all.

Need Some Cab Advice To Match Jcm800

Lol, it was this same kind of thinking that had me held up for a long time. I had kept wanting a 1960AV too, but couldn't justify the cost new, so kept holding off. One day I came across a 1960A in a pawn shop that was in too great condition at a too great price to not grab so I did. Decided...

    Mic'ing A 4x12

Thanks everybody, more experimenting now I guess, haha. Another reason to make people stop and listen, but with an end goal in mind now.:D

    Mic'ing A 4x12

This would be for live play, but later on maybe recording.

    Mic'ing A 4x12

I'm sure it's probably been asked and answered before, but is there actually a right or wrong way to mike up a cabinet when the need to is there? I've seen virtually every speaker used by different players, so is it just a case of 'use what you can, with what room you have to do it in', or is...

Strap Locks, What Ya Using, And Why?

These are what I'm using right now, but I've found that the strap thickness makes them hard to lock/unlock if they are tight. I like them otherwise, and if I could leave the strap on in the case, all would be great. My Tele I don't have the problem with, the case has a little more room, but the...

Strap Locks, What Ya Using, And Why?

I'm looking for current opinions on what everyone is using. I'm trying to decide on something, but I want to stay away from anything that involves removing the stock screws, and re-setting new ones. I have been using the 2 pc plastic locking ones, and don't mind them, except they are sometimes...

    Dsl40v With Simultaneous Extension Cabinet.

Manual says that when the 16 socket is used, the rest are not operational, I don't know for sure since I haven't tried it, but that's what is says. Just to add, this is on the regular 40/100 w too, so maybe the V is different. Oops, sorry misread your question. Yes, both 8 ohm jacks will play at...

    Dsl 100h Pentode/triode Mode

Just have to ask the neighbors what music they want to hear first, lol. But yes, pentode for sure. Like was mentioned before, less compressed, more expansive. Not much reason to have a 100W if you're not gonna let it roar!

Little Cosmetic Trick For Older Cabs

Will the Maguire's work on rougher material like what Peavey used on the older amps? I've still got an '83 Bandit that I bought new, but its been a total pain to clean up. Would like to bring it back to black again, but nothing I've tried so far does the job.

    Dsl100h Configuration Question

Yes the switches are goofy, went through this with mine too. Power switch works as it is marked, the Standby switch is in standby mode when it is clicked to the top side, and is in playing mode when it is clicked to the bottom. Lol, I figured the same person marks these as the person who marks...

Which Cabinet Would You Choose For A Dsl100h

I've got mine hooked to a 1960A and love it.

    Sustain Test.

Kind of a strange test run. Never seen sustain checked just on the guitar alone. My experience has shown me the amp and player figure into sustain pretty prominently too, so I would have liked to see it done with them plugged in.

So What Is The Dang Difference Really?

I picked up one of these this summer too, but a black/white version. Didn't know much about it at the time, but it looked great, and I loved it the second I tried it so it came home, lol. A 2012 model I believe it is, but one of the best purchases I've made in a while.
