    It Sucks To Be Right/dsl40cr!

It was anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks? (It’s been a while so I don’t remember exactly). The tech offered to let me keep my amp until the part came in, but I opted to keep my amp there because I didn’t want to drive back. Plus I had time in between gigs, as well as another amp to use at home.

Yes, it is working great, exactly as it supposed to (since the service).

    Dsl 40 Volume Control Questions

I've got the 40CR, which I use primarily for gigging, but also as a home amp. Know that no tube amp is going to give up the goods at bedroom levels for your "basement when people are asleep." They all just sound massively better when turned up. For really quiet bedroom levels, I'd prefer a...

    Dsl20 Ringing/singing Harmonic

Don’t dismiss power tubes. I had the same sort of sound, and finally fixed it with a power tube swap.

    It Sucks To Be Right/dsl40cr!

You can get that addressed by Marshall, as they have a fix now. Bring it in. They will need to replace a daughterboard with a re-flashed firmware on one of the chips. I had mine done a few months back, no issues since.

Marshall Guy / Kemper Guy ....

Unless I missed it, no one has mentioned the most important point: What kind of single malt?

    New Dsl40cr......new Problem?

I've been testing this out for the past few days, with both my Humbucker equipped guitar as well as Single Coil equipped guitar. Basically on the Classic channel, the clean mode at lower gain levels (below halfway) isn't up to the level of compression as the crunch mode, thus it may indeed be at...

    Am I Hearing Things Correctly? (hint: Jcm900 4100 50w)

I have a 4502, which is the 50watt High again Dual reverb (2-channel). While it’s a great gigging amp that cuts like a knife, it’s not a bedroom amp even at Half Power mode while also running an attenuator. It only starts sounding decent with the Master volume at 4, and then better at 5 and 6 -...

    Dsl40cr Single Footswitch Compatibility

I just tried a Marshall single button footswitch with LED, model PED801, with the DSL40CR. I can confirm that it works for channel-switching on the amp. The Effects loop remains OFF while using the footswitch, and cannot be manually turned on using the front panel button. Hope this helps.

    Thinking Of Trading A 50w Jcm900...

Although I didn't sell mine (50w Dual Reverb combo), I went with a DSL40CR after 25 years. The JCM 900 really needed an attenuator to get it to where it was sounding good, and that couldn't be done around the house at a reasonable level. I can, however, use the DSL at a reasonable level at home...

    Marshall Dsl40 Cr

Hello, I've thought of posting so many times here since I got my DSL40CR in September, but everything I've read has been either someone is having issues, or someone is talking s#!t about it. Especially lately, it seems that there is so much negative about this amp. I love mine. Was it...
