    My guess, The extra tube socket hole was for a tube buffer effects loop. Two holes extra holes on the back panel was for the send and receive jacks, I'd say someone took it out and definitely installed a bass resonance control in one of the loop holes and a 3rd speaker jack in the other...

    Yes he is plugged straight in, but those Marshall are landgraff modded amps. Which are tough to find and pricey to buy. Even tougher to have a marshall modded by landgraff.
