    The main problem was the shop only had one special edition so I would have had to wait for it to get fixed. As the amp had died already I would never have had confidence in it. The heat issue didn't come into it as the amp died after only 10 minutes.

    I think the difference is purely cosmetic. The amp was made in 2007 week 39. The amp sounds nice indeed but as has been said before it could do with a change of speaker.

    $840AUD is £408 which Is about right as they retail in the UK between £430 and £480. In US$ thats $812.

    That was me. The blue looks nice but the green looks far better LOL. It would be nice to know how many of these are out there. The blue one is in Aus and i bought mine in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. I think I'll drop an email to Marshall for more info.

    I bought this on Monday and after some googling and checking the marshall website I cant find any info on this version of the 401. I guess that any difference from the stock model is cosmetic. If anyone has some information on this model pls comment. Heres some pics
