JCM 800 2210 customization. Re tolex, lexan front, and LEDs

That is just cool! IMO, being able to see the guts of any machine whilst in operation, or at rest is like artwork. Used to build PCs and tried to always use lexan/clear cases, LEDs the whole bit.... Very well done. The newer, bigger, bolder plate is also better IMO.

    Multimeter for the dummies

Inserting the leads into the MM...very loose. Dad had a nice Fluke, back in the day, I don't remember his being like this. Is that normal, has anyone else observed this on there's? The ac voltage detector is way cool btw....like it a lot. Eta: it didn't seem to affect the use/function.

    Multimeter for the dummies

My local lowes, according to "Earl electrical Pro", no longer carries green lee or Morris. I picked up this one instead. Came with a non-contact ac voltage detector, and receptacle tester. $29 + gov cut. https://objects.eanixter.com/PD380281.PDF Oh, eta....they no longer carry fluke. Weird.

    Multimeter for the dummies

I am certainly ok with it starting here. I am a complete DA with this "stuff". I managed to take years of higher level mathematics, but never had any real world applications, if you know what I mean. I'm headed out in a bit to pick one up, will start using by tracing some electrical troubles...

    Speaker swap...need help please.

Hello fellows. Swapping out a pair of celestion G12L-35's for a pair of Celestion 16 ohm G12M Greenbacks in an old ss combo amp. Eventually I will use the speakers and cab as a 212 cab only, as I'll be connecting to a new head....but, until the head has arrived, I'd like to use the new...

    DSL 40c vs DSL 50

I really appreciate all the feedback and opinions/guidance. I've yet to make up my mind...so many choices, so little $$'s, so much want.... I've played the 40c once, really twice; once at the GC and the other at SamAsh at my closest bigbox store (an hour away). I will likely head back up this...

JMP 2203 caught on fire after connecting a bias probe & powering it up

:all good man: I don't disagree with you, and really not trying to be a flaming d-bag, no really, I'm not. The op didn't raise the questions when he should have and undoubtedly has paid the price for it. And Im not suggesting he be compensated for his lack of due diligence. But he was sold...

JMP 2203 caught on fire after connecting a bias probe & powering it up

So you are admitting your ad on eBay didn't specifically state you had modified the amp. Got it. :yesway:

JMP 2203 caught on fire after connecting a bias probe & powering it up

An individual, not an authorized dealer,,,? I'd contact eBay, and likely you used paypal for payment, so I'd contact them as well. Let them know the amp was "not as advertised". There are some timeframes that work to your advantage as a buyer, which sadly you have likely passed. Read through...
