Best preamp tubes?
The original Marshall branded 12AX7 (VLVE-00055) in V1 (1987X) recently became very noisy/microphonic. Tried new current production 12AX7s from Tung So & EH, but were all microphonic. The only tube that was NOT microphonic was a EH7025. Its quiet and sounds very rich when overdriven.- Seum

First thank you to everyone who gave “likes” on my 2000 Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Reissue. This one is a 2007 Standard that was modded with a middle PU (all are Dimarzio Super Distortions). Tried various wiring schemes and currently has the “Frampton wiring”. Stay safe everyone.
