    Bugera 1960 Infinium chirping noise

I will get a recording of it tomorrow. With the 2 6L6’s the ppimv worked and sounded great. Ive only tried messing with the channels and the settings.

    Bugera 1960 Infinium chirping noise

I have a Bugera 1960 Infinium that I’ve been using with an OCD pedal for a clean boost. The EL34’s have been replaced by 6L6’s, and I’m only running 2 of them along with the ppimv to tame the volume. Recently it’s developed a low chirping noise, any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Marshall MX412

Thank you. I was considering the G12T, especially since I will be using the Laney as well. I heard V30’s and that head aren’t a good match up. So the V type is a decent choice as well? The seventy/80 just seems a little harsh to me.

    Marshall MX412

I’m currently using a DSL 100H. The band I’m with plays a variety from country to 80’s. The heaviest we go is still of the night. I also have a Laney GH50 that I want to start using as well.

    Marshall MX412

I have a Marshall MX series 4x12 cab loaded with Seventy 80 speakers. My question is are these cabs worth a speaker upgrade? Some have told me it wouldn’t make much of a difference.

    NAD Blackstar HT CLUB 50

After a very long and trying weekend I finally got to play it this morning. What a tight nice sounding amp. This is exactly what I was looking for, never should have bought the DSL 40.

    DSL40C hum

I have tried 2 different guitars, but not different cables, effects. My thoughts were that if it were something out in front then the hum should be on the clean channel as well.

    DSL40C hum

The tech said the design used a plug in from the input jack to the board so he just hard wired it. I will look into the tube swap.

    DSL40C hum

So the amp shut off on me and I got it fixed, hardwired the input jack to the circuit board, but it still has this loud hum. Only when things are plugged in and mostly on the red channel. Unplug everything and it goes away.

    Bugera circle of tonez.

I have a DSL40c and it recently dirt napped during a show so I knew I needed a back up. I run it through a Marshall 4x12 cab, so I thought I'd get a head. It sounds like the 900 and I'm familiar with it because my friend has a 900. It seemed the logical choice.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 1990 Infinium, hope it's everything I expect it to be.

    DSL40C hum

Got the amp back today. Tech said there was a design flaw with the way the input jack connects to the circuit board.

    DSL40C hum

I only get to play the amp once a week being that it sits at practice rather than me lugging around. So I haven't played it since last week. We played this weekend and the hum seemed better. Mid way through the set it just stopped working. I'm hoping it's just a bad tube.

    DSL40C hum

Have not tried that yet. If the hum doesn't go away, what are your thoughts?

My DSL40C seems to have developed a pretty loud hum. Who are the usual suspects?

NAD : My first real Marshall aka another DSL40c owner

I hated the DSL40c when I first got it, now I love it. I just wish now it were a head. Finding someone to convert it to a head might be my next endeavor.
