Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 gain loss troubleshooting

For measuring plate voltage I used pint 6 and 1 to the ground For measuring cathode voltage I used pint 8 and 3 to the ground Then for getting the voltage between the plate-cathode, I used pins 6 to 8, and 1 to 3 for each tube For current, I used the exact same amper-meter, dial on a 20m...

Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 gain loss troubleshooting

I don't think this is a bias issue, I have checked bias is stable during a couple of hours of playing also, the green channel works as expected, so there is a problem somewhere on preamp side

Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 gain loss troubleshooting

Unfortunately found VERY good amp guy it's a lottery, I had a negative experience with some tech who created a mess of soldering in the amp and fixed nothing I used to fix all my previous amps by myself, but this one is much more complex than a single-channel one like Orange tiny terror I...

Help With Dsl 50 (gut Shots Included)

In my case, it sounds like a wah-wah pedal, with no lows at all, even a deep switch doesn't add low at much if the issue is the same, it might be because of lack of gain

JCM 2000 DSL 50 has no gain on the red channel

To be more clear, I used one spare tube for testing, I put it in each position checking the result each time The only difference is the new tube is high gain one, it adds some gain but still does not fix the problem The red channel is supposed to be more hot-roaded than the green one, but in...

JCM 2000 DSL 50 has no gain on the red channel

I have Dimarzio PAF's 36th anniversary set on my guitar, it has pretty low output pickups, for Lead 1 I've used the Boss SD 1 just for volume booster, and a bit of an EQ correction

JCM 2000 DSL 50 has no gain on the red channel

Yes, this is the first that I did, I mixed them up, then put a new, high-gain one in the v2 - nothing really helped The result, is still the same, the lead 1/2 loss a gain, a bit of volume, and a lot of lows, it sounds like a wah-wah pedal

JCM 2000 DSL 50 has no gain on the red channel

Hi everyone, Recently I purchased my first Marshall amp, the JCM 2000 DSL 50 But my happiness didn't last long. A few days ago, something went wrong. I was playing on a bedroom level, a volume of about 2/2.5, a gain of 10, on a lead 1 red channel boosted by the Boss SD 1, suddenly all gain...
