how do I hear myself better on stage?

ok everyone, took me a while to reply because I was out testing out all of the suggestions. 1) turn it up louder. Not an option, I'm heard out to the crowd. 2) EQ pedal. I already use an eq pedal for boost.(BOSS SD1 with BOSS GE7 combined) again, I cut through just fine. 3) raising the...

how do I hear myself better on stage?

hey folks, I recently started playing live with a new band and having a blast. However, I struggle to hear myself at times. I think this is mostly due to me standing only 3 feet in front of my 2x12 vertical cab and only being about 4 feet away from my drummer's symbals.. the sound projected...

    Marshall Origin50H Fx loop help

This amp sounds best to me when master maxed out. Drive to the edge of breakup. I use a wampler tumnus as always on for my base tone(zero gain, level and tone at noon) this give the amp a dynamic rich tone. I then either push it with SD1 or BD2 for gain/solo s s

    Marshall Origin50H Fx loop help

Interesting!!! Never thought of it like that. I suppose i will take power tube saturation over reverb. On my marshall sl5c, it has a built in reverb and I don’t have the same issue with the built in reverb. I also run it maxed out… any way to work around my situation?

Hi All, does the FX sucks on this amp on just my amp or by design? I love this amp. great tone and takes overdrive pedals really well. but any delay or reverb pedal I put in the fx loop sounds terrible. lets talk reverb in particular. I've tried Holy grail, Boss RV5, Boss RV6, and few...

Pedal order in front and in FX loop

Hi guys/gals, I recently picked up an Origin 50 head on the cheap to go with my 2x12 vertical marshall cab. This amp is amazing. After replacing some of the preamp tubes it sounds beautiful. This amp is known to take pedals well and I can confirm. I have a bunch of pedals that I want to...

Marshall SL5C for a live setting

update, picked up a Marshall MX212AR cab, it is a vertical 2 x 12 slanted cab. It has a V30 in the bottom and an Eminence DV-77 in the top. I'm not a fan of the DV-77, but adding the cab made the sound big like I wanted to, so I suppose my problem is solved. What speakers do you recommend...

Marshall SL5C for a live setting

thanks for the welcome, another sl05c would be great, but for the price they go for, I rather get a something different. how are the MG cabs? I'm not a professional musician, I'm not a cork sniffer when it comes to gear.. I preffer my home made tele kit over my 57' goldtop reissue at times...

Marshall SL5C for a live setting

Hi everyone, I currently only have a Marshall SL5C as my amp. I like this amp very much and I enjoy the tones coming out of it. I only use OD channel for the Gn'r type sounds. I mainly use the clean channel with a BOSS BD2 & SD1 stacked as my main versatile sounds. I haven't played live in...
