I have an SLX 50W in original Red. Excellent except for 1 small 1/2" tear.

because they are red now doesn't necessarily mean they were red when they first left the factory ;) most people will opt for a custom colour when they get an amp or cab recovered. and most of the time the custom colour marshall stuff I see is in near mint condition...

It's true you hardly ever see a beat colored cabinet...but then I never see them in bars either. People tend to keep them at home unless I miss my guess. I know I'd keep mine safe if I had a white or red.

No idea how many in 86, mine is earlier red though - either way - not enough made IMHO :)

I played this amp out last night and it did great . Some of my guitars on this amp don't work to well with it . I need to sit down and find the guitars that work well with this JCM 800 . I traded a 1997 Marshall JCM-2000 DSL-100 watt Dual Super Lead Amplifier Head & Cabinet for the red JCM 800 .
