Hey guys,

Love my SD-1 so much I found a good deal on one of these ZW-44 pedals and decided to take it for a spin. :)

Albeit it does generate more noise than a SD-1 (at least mine does), but it sounds very well suited to boosting an 800 just imo.

Here's a real short clip of the ZW-44 boosting my 2204...

How is the zw compared to the sd1? I know zakk used a sd1 for years and am curious as to how similar they are.

Thanks for the comments!

The ZW-44 is beefier than the SD-1, but still has that aggressive snarl that I enjoy so much from the SD-1.

Honestly I don't think the ZW-44 is worth it's price new, but if you can find one used they are really matched quite well to sound good with an 800 for the obvious reason. :naughty:

Sounds good, it's got a nice bite to it.
I've been boosting my little 3005s with a TS9 and now they sound awesome at higher volumes. Really tightens up the low end too.......:dude:

You guys should also check out the MXR classic OD. Its a cheap pedal and has the MXR GT-OD and ZW OD in one housing. Some guitar centers still have them for like $40.

Like the new graphics on that one! Tried one a few months back and they seem as hot as they come...
