From Marshall website:

hammerfall-graphic.jpg

"Gothenburg based metallers, Hammerfall, smashed the record in Sweden for having the most live Marshall cabs on stage. A staggering 54 cabinets were used for Hammerfalls performance at the Getaway Rock Fest in Gävle, Sweden this year, with each and every one hooked up and powered - that's an amazing total of 216 loaded speakers! Loud or what!"

So, how do you hook up that? I really doubt they were all connected! :hmm:

And if they were all 300 watt cabs (just on a guess) that would mean 16200 watts worth of speakers!

The number of cabs is even, so in theory, one head could pull it off, if you wired them in a series parallel circuit, you could end up with 16 ohms. I might be wrong though, i have to do the math.

Yup, I would guess some series/parallel action going on to run several cabs off a single head.

What? You can't run them all off one amp? I hear that's all the rage these days.

Must be .000001 ohms...will that damage my OT if I use the 4 ohm output?

When I saw Megadeth, they had quite a nice backline of 8 stacks, and I could tell by the way the roadies were swinging the heads up on top that they definitely weren't dummies

Not I'm not saying they were all powered up and on, but it was impressive nonetheless.

Here's a picture I took
