Came here looking for info on my amp i've had for years. Blew a tube and a fuse and sat for a year or so until i finally took it to a tech. So apparently model year 98 jcm2000 dsl100 likes to run hot. Explains the dimple in my tube! Anyway he says new main board and its gonna run about $400 installed in USA. He tried fixing the original board with a few new resistors but bias was still waaaay high on left side. Like 2000 times as high as it should read. Ive had it 15 years so i figured what the hell and told him to go ahead. Anyway thats what brought me here. Hopefully after all new tubes and a new main board i'm good to go for another 15 years! BTW he getting the updated board which is supposed to solve the bias/conductivity issue. Any opinions

:welcome:to the forum...

those boards were problematic, in a few ways. Also, the bias board seemed to have issues. Hopefully he gets it fixed properly.
