Not so long ago I came across 1989 g12t-75 with black label (white stripe), and I was wondering how they compare to older ones with white label? Are there any significant diferences? image0.jpeg

The main difference is physical. IIRC use the same cone, but the driver is different. It was ported like a G12-65, unlike the solid modern.

Thank you. I know that first model came with vent, same as g12-65, then without vent with the same label, and then in 1989 celestion changed to black label. I was refiring to diferences soundwise

I have 4 new ones in a 1960B style cabinet. I find them to be loud ,brash and make my amp sound very noisy and wanting to feedback even at lower volume levels when used with my Marshall JVM410H. I did try them with a 94 Fender Twin Amp and it wasn’t to bad, I would say the sound character reasonably matched and didn’t have much in terms of noise and feedback issues.
