Always thought this image spoke volumes about society, secret societies, the law and also the internet.

And why would anyone need facebook if they can check here...

Gr,

Gerrit.

The more I socialise here in this cyber room, the more trust I have in the regular members. Perhaps not in any sort of emotional content or any form of offering of my personal life, but trust in the sense I can come on here and feel like I know some members and have a giggle about the less serious issues in life, which is the total of life to me really. Therefore I prefer it to facebook - I spend more time on the Marshall forum than I do facebook.

Here is where I've spent the longest of my forum days.

I must be old school. I still use email and texting to communicate, and I dont feel the desire to build a webpage about myself.

There's something about Mark Zuckerberg. He's hiding something. He's up to something. I don't know. I would just love to be able to punch him in the face. A couple of times.

I refuse to have a Facebook

I was at a family get together yesterday with my mom, my brother and his family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins...the whole nine yards. Everyone was either watching TV or glued to their phones. I was just sitting there watching this bored out of head...wtf! :( ...I want no part of that.

No thanks. I had a page for a week, cause I was accused of being anti-social. It's got to be one of the worst things on the net. Give me good old email any day. I'm with you, nah!!!!

If I didn't have a band or wasn't a musician, I absolutely would not have a Facebook. I would be out fishing and relaxing! However, I am a musician, and unless you are already signed, have lots of money, have great management, or all of the above, Facebook is pretty much a necessity. Seriously, I am not claiming to be a badass or anything like that, but because of Facebook/Myspace, I have traveled through at least 1/3 of the US and played some bad ass festivals. Those networking sites help goobers like me from small towns get out there and meet folks we normally would not have access to. Without FB, we would probably have at least half the attendance at our shows as well! Social networking in general is a bittersweet thing, it has its ups, and yes downs. The privacy of course, seeing constant rants and what not, and the biggest thing, the addiction. So many are addicted. The next generation of kids are so A.D.D. they cant even remember their name. So yeah, its bittersweet for sure, but in the meantime, its really all some of us musicians have as a weapon!

Well ... that's because when you sign up to Facebook all the terms are laid out RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU ....

Whereas Wikileaks has opened up information containing sensitive information that could and probably did get people killed, regarding government and military operations.

There's no similarity here and posting it is a very trolling thing to do.

Good old email?

lol. Dude ... if you don't like Facebook, which is just an extension of all the social networking tools you use already, such as email, text messaging and phone calling , you're basically saying you don't like digital communication :)

good OLD email?

No ... good old going to everyone's house individually is more 'old' ... you do realise that your ISP etc can read all your emails right?

Not really, email is to the point if you use it for simple correspondence. No frills/chills/spills etc. And I happen to love digital communication, but to each his own. One man's junk, is another's treasure.
