Those look great! What does the mini toggle do on the goldtop?
Thanks,
That version had a stacked P-90, so the toggle was a coil split.
I've since put a mini-hum in the dog ear and another one under the pickguard.
I just can't seem to bond with P-90's...
Switch is now a full sized 3-way.

I tried Stew-Mac, and wound up sanding it off.
Went with these guys instead - no regrets.

Very nice.

I think that none of these companies actually make the products with their label on it though, like so many products out there. It's actually one or two companies that make the product and stick the other companies label on it so they can sell itin their product line. Maybe minor mix differences if anything.

I see Stew Mac makes their own versions of dye and sanding sealers and different laquer finishes. And of course there more expensive than everything else. But I'm betting are the exact same thing. Except they say it's specially formulated for musical instruments. Of course.

No, but on occasion, after struggling to try and learn a song and not being able to, I've REDUCED a guitar to parts. Does that count? 🙃

Put this replica "practical prop" ;-) one together from a custom BYO kit.
"Comes from "Garageland" sounds great and it is a joy to play.
It is neck haavy a bit, goes out of tune and requires contant tweaking with those old machines.
What a better way to stay in shape
Two pieces of mahogany and a rosewood fingerboard
Changed it a bit from 60 style to the older 58 style was a bit of work.
Upgraded the bridge to a superlite aluminum like the originals and added 60s klusons.

I routed it to add a neck p/u if I want to and have another tortise guard to accomodate that.
The plug between the knobs is for the toggle if I ever want to go back. I doubt it.
Getting the decal was a challange- the back of the head is stamped
" Made in F.U.N"
"FAKE '58"

I've put together a 67 replica using a Musikraft neck with all the correct specs, a bare alder body with 69 contours that i've painted in Nitro Olympic white with a clear nitro over it Strat.png
