I choose the blue one because you have a green one. I like green but I don't like metallic colors on a guitar.

The Green is definitely a Mopar color.

The Blue is sometimes called New Holland Blue, but was originally Grabber Blue for a different company. I like the blue better.

I believe Carvin/Kiesel has Grabber Blue.

Well, the deed is done. I ordered the green one just now (Lime Green Metallic). Images are one thing, but if you look at videos of the two colors, the differences are night and day and the green wins by a mile. The gold hardware on the blue one was also getting uglier every time I looked at it.

I went with new. There are good deals on used ones out there, but not a lot cheaper than new for the ones listed as "Excellent" condition.

I'll finally have my Focus 2000 back, but better!

Buy them both, swap the hardware, return the green.

I think that might be a bit tough to pull off. Not every Guitar Center employee will be a Charvel "scholar," but they would probably catch that.

The gold would actually look better on the green! Gold on blue just doesn't go. They will be thanking you!

Update: The brand new one in Lime Green Metallic arrived yesterday, and it's exactly what I want.

But it may be going back for a return/exchange. The sides of the fretboard feel like the frets haven been dressed AT ALL. I got a used Pro Mod So-Cal a couple of weeks ago, also from Guitar Center, and it's flawless. Smooth as silk. But this one feels like little razor blades.

I understand that temperature and humidity changes can affect the fretboard wood, so I'm not jumping the gun on this. But if the edges are still sharp in a day or so, back she goes. I'll take my chances on another new one and let GC deal with Charvel. I might go ahead and deal with it today.

I've smoothed and polished fret edges myself in the past, but I'm not about to try it on a new one and void the warranty.

Well, I returned it. While I was there, they had a brand new So-Cal in Slime Green, and I asked to see it. Guess what? This one had sharper frets than the one I returned. I don't know what's going on, but I'll get a used one and roll the fretboard myself if needed. I've done it before, but I wasn't going to touch a brand new one with a warranty.
