Hey Risa how does the 40C compare to the HT40?

A little fizzy, I personally like the HT 40 the best its has MY TONE. The Cleans on the HT 40 are more Clear but there's no gain control or EQ just Volume and tone. But it doesn't quite do the Marshall sound which the DSL has in spades.

The Blackstars are weird some are great and some are a mess. The HT 5 and 100 didn't do it for me. This HT 40 is the Bees Knees. The Kittens Mittens.
I had the 40 first and fell in love with it and tried to get the same tone in other formats like the portable 5 watter and the Big 100 watter but they just weren't the same. I love the ID 30 it can do the same tone as the HT 40 almost exactly in sound and feel.

I use the DSL with a ZW44 overdrive and its sick on both channels all modes. Especially on clean and crunch gain dimed on amp pedal Vol maxed, tone to taste, and gain lowest setting.

Ill record some clips in the near future to compare.

My Fender was a great amp and was so close to giving me that sound I wanted, but it could never get there. I don't know if it was the digital effects/voicing or just the way it's made. The Vox was an okay amp, but not for me. It was too "Voxy" with it's sound for my tastes. Hybrid amps just don't do it for me. They have some tube qualities but the solid state qualities override the sound. Unless the signal was running through tube preamp and power stages, I never really meshed with the tones coming out. Which is how I feel about the Orange. It gets great reviews and I really don't understand why. It sounds very solid state even though it has a tube preamp (I ran it through the DSL speaker). Then, if I use the headphone out, it really jumps. Sounds terrible. I'd rather put my ear up to my dog's arse while he's pooping. But it is small and extremely portable, so I can haul it up the stairs when I want to strum and someone else is in the basement. I'm going to buy a speaker (probably Warehouse Guitar Speaker ET10 or ET65) and make a cabinet with white Tolex so it matches. Maybe with a different speaker it'll be not so horrendous.

If it turns out to be decent, maybe it'll be worthy of being added to my signature. Otherwise, it's too embarrassing.
