Here is a reason, not mentioned yet, why you need three amps.

It's perfectly simple.

If you're gigging even just occasionally you need two amps. You want to take two to the gig in case of problems.

But, at any given time one of your amps might be getting serviced. Therefore you need a third one, to ensure you always have two on hand.

Clearly THREE is the minimum number of amps you need.
It's the only responsible way to go.

My logic is irresistable.
Absolutely!! If you run tube amps on occasion they will need service so--.

Hey Ascension,

Good to hear from you. Haven't seen you around here for a while.

I believe I understand why your 2501 would be your "grab and go".
I'm supposing that "Tiny Box: Huge Sound" sums it up.

Well, I'm not gigging three times a week like you - but I see myself getting very busy in the near future.

Your comments remind me that there is a question of efficiency.
I.e., at some point we (all, might, probably) need to turn up at gig with just whatever gear we can quickly stuff into the back seat of a small car.
AND sound good when we get there.

... In the back of my mind... got some holiday season gigs coming up - I'm not at all sure how much gear to move to each gig....
