And don't want the weight of a Les Paul but still want the tone. Look at these.
I think I just started a new collection.
CS-336 Wildwood
Custombuckers, 6.5ish lbs. and tone for days.

Nice! I just retired my LP for gigging and switched to SG, much easier on the back! Next switch will be to air guitar lol.

Or a thinner Modern Axcess LP.
Modern weight relief.

Use a wide strap. A comfortable one that's stiff across its width to support the weight.

Hit the gym, get some exercise. I do, and I'm stronger than I've ever been before. Got a better physique, too.

Then a 10 pound Les Paul won't bother you at all.

No IF about it, we're all getting older. The only way to stop it is to die right now.

Nice looking guitars, anyway.

I don’t gig or jam, just play at home sitting down,… with a strap, :D

with a 10.4lb Custom, (heaviest I own),…

… and a 6.5 lb Special, (lightest I own),…

Everyone likes a little guitar porn, right?

Thread title cracked me up. "If" you're getting older.

If you're like me with back and neck issues then what you need is a good stool! But, if I had to stand and play for some reason I would grab my thin body Melody Maker, it's the same specs as Gibson's new "lite" series. I've got my eye out for one when they start showing up used. I like this one a lot.

I not feeling that headstock matching the body color.
