Is the JCM900 as bad as people say?

So true. This can apply to any amp live as well. Most players use to much treble. It can sound descent right next to you but move all the way to the front, step off the stage and its much brighter.

Your an ear height stage player also, you know what I'm talking about. even with my amp set up the way it is it's still a little to bright at ear level on 5. but like I've said before, I set up my tone for the sound man not me, if he's happy, my entire band and everyone in the crowd will be also! :dude:

Hhaha. Same here man. Im always worried about being to bright live. Doing good man, just trying to survive. Hope all is well with ya man! Hopefully we can cross paths in the music scene! Cheers!:headbanger:

No...I use to own one...a 4100 Dual Reverb...I actually loved the sound...it had lots of gain right out of the box...didn't even have to boost it...I actually want to get another.
