Does anyone know if the FX loops in the re-issue 800s are buffered? Also, what are some tonal differences between tube and solid state FX loops? Any input would be appreciated.

I'll let others discuss the specifics, but I personally don't think the 2203x's loop is that bad and I've certainly heard worse.

I like the loop too. Its pretty quiet and the effects sound strong thru it.

I'm hoping its buffered since its solid state and doesn't provide the warmth of a tube.
