What tubes are in it now?
If you're "loving it", what do you want to change?
More of this, or less of that & what you have right now might help suggestions.

More so just interested in hearing what has worked for others in their amp too ! Just because something is good doesn’t mean it can’t get better! and hearing new opinions never hurts anybody

Any 12AX7 and EL34 will do the job in that amp.
I could suggest the brands I use but they're not available for purchase at the moment due to a conflict in the East.

True dat.

Preamp tube changes only do marginal,
bassically non perceivable changes in
those amps, don't bother.

Best tip for these amps, unless you are
willing to do a couple mods, is an eq in the
loop, which can be quite tricky itself
because the loop is very picky about
different impedances, lotta devices dont
work well with this amp.

Remove alot of mids in the normal
channel to get a more classic sound.

My 2205 is an '85 and was converted to EL34's. My tech used JJ's and I think it sounds phenominal.

JJs are good and you can get them. Personally I've found that tube changes are not generally huge tone factors. Yes there are some differences. I find Chinese 12ax7s to be harsh, particularly in high gain amps. I like the way GE 12AX7s sounds in a Marshall. As for power tubes, I don't claim to hear a reliable difference between EL34 Brand A and EL34 Brand B.
