Put it this way...a TSL100 through an AVT won't perform nearly as well it could through a cab of higher quality. It wouldn't sound like shit, but it won't amaze you.

The whole package IS a decent deal, but you would be better off buying just the amp and looking elsewhere for a 1960 cab.

The 1960A you found on CL would be a great match as long as you don't mind the battered exterior. $300 for a used Marshall cab is a good buy.

The AVT cabs are smaller, made of lower quality wood, speakers are shit (I had a VS cab with AVT speakers years back, sounded like a blanket was over the cab the whole time, very wooly). When I first got a 1960 it was night and day. Trust me and the others giving the advice to get the 1960, you'll only end up wanting one anyway

It has 2 avt412s both straight... Will this be worse than 1 straight 1 angled?

You can probably flip those cabs somewhere down the road, when a 1960 becomes available for a reasonable price. Hell, if people are selling 1960s for $700 locally, you can probably sell those cabs for a decent price. I'm a big fan of the TSL, they're great amps.

Jeez, just get it already.
It is better than NO Marshall at all... Which is what you have now.

Yeah just buy it and sell or trade the 2-cabs for one 1960 4x12 down the road.
