A few weeks ago I was saving up for a dsl40cr that I saw on Facebook marketplace for $700 aud recently it was sold so I started looking at the other Marshall amps and discovered the jcm2000 tsl602 for $800 aud and started reading reviews and it doesn’t seem like a total bad amp I just want an amp that would sound good to record and I’m able to bring to gigs
I’m aware the jcm has speaker problems but it seems like it will be better if I’m trying to find my tone with the amount of versatility it has with 3 channels when the dsl has a lot less knobs.
It also makes it harder that part of the tone I want includes a deluxe big muff pi and I’m curious on what amp would sound superior for it.
So I have a choice between both of these amps should I choose the jcm2000 for $800 aud or wait for another dsl40cr.
