Tried some JCM900 4100 mods, great success. I know this has been on different forums over the years including this one.
I did the D10 and C27 jumper wire, I also removed R43 and R7. It really brought out a huge thick tone on the B channel, making it sound much more similar to the A channel. Obviously I wouldn't recommend anyone trying these unless they are familiar with the safety procedures for working inside an amp
I can now plug straight in and get a monster tone, no overdrive pedal needed. It actually makes it sound very similar to the SLX I had for years, but thick/fat distortion. Anyone else tried this on a 900?
