Right, so about 10 minutes ago my family went out for a bike ride, i just didnt wanna go so i let them go, then thought, hey shit, i could crank my amp, so thats what i did. TO FUCKING 10!!!! my god, it was loud as hell, only got a 2 x 12 but still loud enough to gig with hehehehe

This was the first time i've ever cranked it past 12 o'clock, and my god, it was just heavenly, even feedback sounded fucking awesome! but still, it's a 50 watter, and some how i think theres much louder amps out there, so time to sell this one and get a jcm 800 :fingersx::fingersx::fingersx:

A JCM800 isnt an amp, its a series that includes 50 watters ;) So which 50 water you got and which 800 are you looking for? Also the difference between 50 and 100 watts isnt as much as you may think.

My 50 watt Vintage Modern on ten is like my 50 watt JCM 800 4104 on 5. Personally I like that (along with the effects loop). Works better for me in live situations.

50W and a 2x12 on end is a killer combo in my opinion. real men? please.
a real man can get the job done with half as much. also lets me get speaker
distortion at lower volumes than a 4x12.

to double the loudness of a 50W amp you would need a 500W amp.
with power distortion a 50W head puts out more than 50W.

if it sounds heavenly why the hell would you sell it?

I literally cracked a window in my jam room when I cranked my DSL 100 to 10. Surprisingly it didn't even piss me off. If anything else in the world would have cracked it, I would have been seriously angry.

how long of cranking it to ten would it take to kill the speakers in a newer 1960 with a 2203? It sounds like the speakers are getting murdered... It sounds bad ass but Im not ready for new speakers

I have turned up my DSL 100 stack to 10 one time.. The whole neighborhood started coming out of their houses. One guy said he thought someone was running their hotrod with open headers..

Hmmmm... In the old days, I played a JMP 100 watt for several years into a single 1960 loaded with greenbacks. Volume was usually between 6 and 8 (no master.) Eventually, one speaker developed a cracked cone that you could only hear when the sound man put a mike in front of it. Maybe I was just lucky, but I think most celestions are rated a little lower than they will actually handle. Of course those speakers were made 40 years ago, so things may be different now. Still, if it's a 300 watt cab, you're probably safe.
