I ditched the S1 on my strat. Batteries really suck. Don’t last. This unit allows blending of all 3 pickups. The 2nd tone knob acts as a blending pot to add a 3rd pickup contingent on pickup switch position. No batteries. Volume mod switch has unity volune between channels. Great treble bleed circuit. Maintains highs as volume know is lowered. Strat sounds great and I have more tonal options without need for batteries
