Hey all. I acquired this amp last week. immediately blew it (bad power tube) and got it fixed up with new tubes, new filter caps and proper value fuses.

I don't know much about it, other than it was a custom order from one of the guitar players of the UK band, Thunder in 1990. At least that is what one of the older, previous seller descriptions said about it.

It sounds like a 1987. Raunchy and loud. really nice with a Buxom Boost in front too. Insanely great feel. My Friedman BE-100 will still be used mostly, but it will be fun to drag this out every once in a while.

Congrats on a most fine Marshall , love the color also .
Yes Congrats ! I've heard Marshall hired a guy from Orange amps and put him in the tolex department and the first week
he worked there , this is what came out of it ! Only a few were made before they showed him where the black tolex roll was ! :D

Congrats... great new amp! The serial number or the inspection tag on the top/inside of the chassis will tell you the date if you want to confirm the story with the amp (the year should match). The cab is earlier than the amp head I'm betting and is likely an '81 or '82... MAYBE 1983. The 75 watt Celestion is likely a replacement. Either way, super jealous and that is a way desirable stack!

Not sure, since it's factory tolex.I will check the date eventually. The cab is a 1935A, which has a different cone on the G12-65 for bass. It's labeled as a bass cab, but it's very close to my 1960A with the regular G12-65's. If they are different, it's barely a difference, Yeah...I'm assuming the T75 is a replacement.I just don't know why it was replaced. I have no issue with it.

Congrats!

Is the T75 with similar label to the 65s? If so they should pretty much identical.
