What's not to like about a mid 90's strat, congrats. I parted ways with a 64 reissue way back and rue the day I did.

If I remeber correct back then the 57/62 pickups were different from the current ones. I believe they were wound with plain enamel wire.
I know I bought a single 57/62 back in the 90's and it had the dark purple'ish winding wire and sounded totaly Hendrix.

I bought it for the physical specs and the pickups. Absolutely my favorite Strat I've ever owned, and the best I've ever picked up. It is so sweet sounding, whether clean or dirty.

Note: I've never actually played a real vintage 50's or 60's Strat.
