Congrats Bear! My '96 McCarty has been my main player for nearly 20 years now. Hope you get that same love from yours brother.

I've had a Custom 24, a Stripped 58, an MEQ and have a P22. This is in another league. The P22 and perhaps the EC Strat will be up for sale soon.

Very nice looking guitar, congrats!!!

I've never played any kind of PRS, how do these guitars compare to a Gibson in the same price/class range???

I think as a general proposition (for me), PRS is superior in terms of fit, finish and playability. Having said that my R9 takes a back seat to no guitar. I agree with the oft stated comment that if you want a Les Paul sound, get a Les Paul. The same holds true for my SG. I work a little harder on the LP and SG than on the PRS, but the tone makes the extra effort well worth it.

Jeez, the case is as nice as the guitar itself!
