Thats a surprise, I thought the JVM had more channels and could do more or less what the 800's do but with more options.
I know there are hundreds of pages here so I wont make you go into detail.
Anyway its like when a new film comes out, I dont want spoilers, want to make my own opinions first.
To me, they both win big time. I love JVM. Especially the 4 channel. Between those 2 amps you have pretty much everything covered IMO.

Hngd!

Those Ibanez guitars are great and that Strat looks amazing!

Those LPs are killer too.

Great score all around I'd say.

Myself personally, I'd avoid the JVM. Sort of a jack of all trades, master of none Imo. Of course it depends on how you're looking to use it.

I'm pretty sure I read here that a simple mod or 3 can make it like an 800, so if possible, that's something to consider. Nonetheless, I agree with Vins comments.

Good luck though and rock those awesome new axes! :dude:
Since there is an 800 as well, woildn't really be required. I did the simplest of mods to my 410, the neg feedback. 1 wire snip, install a pot inline. Done.
Now the neg feedback can be lessened thus opening up the mids a bit more towards 800 territory. There are members here who have posted AB tests with an 800 and there is essentially no difference.
I like modern tones, the JVM4 series kills everything!

Lol! That's what we all say!
OK, you were right.
No bargains today, but I saw some stuff I liked and hit the button.
All the stuff was going above estimate, even complete junk sold.

For not planning to get anything, limiting yourself to 11 items shows remarkable self-restraint. ;^)

Just kidding, hope you enjoy all of the above! Looks like you scored some very cool gear and the prices actually seem pretty reasonable. Enjoy!

I'm drooling a little.. :yum: I'm looking everywhere and I can't find another. What do you call that color/colour?
2014 Gibson 120th Anniversary Les Paul Futura electric guitar, made in USA
Body: Inverness Green

Funny name for a color, in England we associate Inverness with a bad football team and oil rigs.
Still playing guitar tetris, will let you know how it plays

That sounds good. If it was good enough for you to gig with its good enough for me.
I am not usually in a high pressure environment these days so if it takes a while to find the sweet spot thats fun foreplay.
Not worried about the weight, I can manage a 4x4 and a VOX Tony Bruno up and down stairs so I think I will manage.

I feel a bit guilty about buying so many amps, there are lots of kids out there struggling with a Fender Mustang that have more talent than me, why should I have better amps ? But I guess they have pretty girlfriends so maybe its fair.
I think my point was that it wasn't good to gig with, but don't let my experience discourage you. The JVM's are great amps, just not very practical for me needs.

Very happy so far, been playing the white partscaster and the Gibson through the JCM 800 1 Watt.
JCM is great practice amp, does low vol JCM very well, sounds like a proper amp at vol that is acceptable at 3am.
JVM is still in the car, its heavy and I though I had done enough lugging for one day.

The Gibson is in mint condition, looks unplayed, no scratches.
Not sure thats good because it means I might leave it in the case and play my used guitars.
I bought it because it has an interesting P90 pickup , coil splits and a built in active boost (9v battery) which are all fun toys.
Very easy to play, pickups are in the range of what I like,
it surprises me how light and fast I can play on it, no pressure needed so its easy to play fast.

The partscaster is my new best strat, it has
Body: see-through blonde nitro finished G & B body, buckle scuffs to back; Neck: Fender licensed All Parts twenty-one fret rosewood board neck; Frets: good; Electrics: working, Lollar Imperial F Space humbucker bridge pickup, Bare Knuckle Mother's Milk neck and bridge pickups; Hardware: good, Fender bridge/trem and other miscellaneous hardware; Weight: 3.89kg
beats my Charvel San Dimas by a mile, Neck is much smoother and easier to play, Pickups sound great and lots of variety.

Happy with most of it, I think overall I did well.
The JVM is great, excellent condition, no issues.
JCM800 1 watt also excellent.
JCM 800 50w has issues, scratchy pots etc, havent spent time on it yet.

The guitars I like most are the white partscaster with Lollar pickups,
the Washburn Idol with Egnater Active pickups , I think they are rare.
Guitar is mint and has lovely detailed inlays on the neck, good quality.
The Peavey Rockingham is also mint, plays well and has a good acoustic tone.
The Ibanez SB70 is amazing, I think it must have been restored as the switch and pots are all perfect,
I have a Roadster of the same age and its all scratchy and glitchy.

The guitar I am the least happy with is the one I paid most for, the Taylor acoustic.
It has rusty old 13's on it that I find hard and uncomfortable to play,
I know thats to make it loud when busking but I dont need that.
Tone is promising allowing for the rusty strings, I think I can make it good but so far its disappointing.

The Yamaha AES620 is a great guitar, has a JB in the bridge, lovely neck with rolled edges, good woods and all top quality parts.
have a look second hand, they often go for less than £400, at that price they are a bargain.

Pedals
I like the Plextortion, good high gain and its purple.
SD1 is an early Japanese one before they moved production to Taiwan,
apparently its sought after but I cant see why, sounds standard to me.
The Devi Ever is great fun, huge fuzz and distortion, lots of options, easy to overdo it but I like that.
Nemphasis was a waste of money, similar to pedals like the TC Dark Matter that I have already.
Have not tried the Mesa V1 yet but it looks in good condition, good price with the case, leads and power supply.

Some things still to try, having fun with my new toys and happy.

That is a really nice Taylor. The Gibson is pretty interesting. How does the partscaster play?
The partscaster plays beautifully, I just trust it.
When I am playing it I often forget about the guitar, its so easy to play and there are no frets where you need to be careful.
Its really well set up , action is low with no buzz, intonation spot on, trem slightly floating, whoever built it knew what they were doing.
