Okay, dumb question:

Which models and years of the amps came with the "pointer" knobs, for lack of a better word?

I have a '79 JMP with them, but curious as to years and models?

Thanks

You mean like the ones on the right in this pic?

I'm not sure of the proper name for them, I call them Pointer Knobs. My 1982 2204 has them, but it is missing 2. I can't find any company that manufactures them. They pop up on ebay occasionally, but sometimes sellers charge big bucks for them.

Both my JCM 800s (2203 and 2204) have them and both are from 1983. Jubilee does not.

they usually have the knobs at antique electronic supply but i still can't say the years. most marshalls have them though but you can swap knobs with little to no effort.

Mid 1978 to 1983.

You will NEVER find them for sale.

I had four of them, asked $15 each, nobody wanted to pay that, LOL.
I paid $20 ea. for a couple of them.

I sold all four to a forum member overseas, and after
splitting the shipping, made less than I had in them...but they went to a good
home.

Somebody needs to step up and build an injection molding plant in their basement. If you made the pointer knobs and the disc knobs from the early to mid 60's you're set. I found a set of disc knobs on Ebay and the asking price was $300.

I bet I could get in the ballpark using some polymer clay. :hmm: I'd need an original to cast first though.
