I like the tunes AV...very Lemmy bass sound.

I run my 4 x 12's with G12 75's & Greenbacks in an X pattern, because the 75's are too dark on their own and the Greenies too bright, but together they are perfect.

mids baby! :dude:

thinking of replacing my greenbacks with a WGS V30 clone "which has
smoothed out the upper-mid "spike" notorious in the Vintage 30™ speaker."
and a 50W invader on top in a : pattern lol

my 90W amp (2204) is pushing my 2 greenies :fingersx:

What I've noticed is that Greenies sound way better in straight cabs, the straights have more balanced highs. As a matter of fact, straight cabs sound better period. The angled cab was not a result of sonic but asthetic design, and the results are congruent with that.

I also find that my angled cab sounds better if I flip it on its side.

I'm just the opposite, sorta. Went with only 30's first for awhile, then went with v30/75 combo with the sm57 and 421 mics, much better.

The WGS speakers are great. I have a cab with the V30 and G12-65 clones in a 'X' and they sound just as good as the originals.

What do you guys think of a V30/T75 mix compared to a V30/G1265 mix? Right now I am using a V30/T75 mix and it sound good! I am thking of trying a V30?G12-65 mix for live and practice. I don't do any recording. I use a Marshals, Bogner and PWE Event Horizon.

The 75 provides great, tight low end but also has top end that some consider harsh. If you are happy with the combo you have, why change? A 65 will provide some additional mids but you will lose a bit of the extended low end the 75 provides.
