Can't say I ever watched many sitcoms; for me he was always the king of Zamunda in Coming To America or the bad guy in Die Hard 2 (the one with the airport, in any case, I think that was 2). RIP, good actor.

He wasn't the King of Zamunda, he was Lisa's father, Cleo McDowell. James Earl Jones was the King of Zamunda.

I've always loved that man. One of the greatest "TV Dad's" of all time (maybe the best?). Also, one of the most handsome men in show business imo.
