the slash head 2555sl the zakk wylde amp and the RR 1959 ...why? because these are the only amps that are exactly what the artist used .
allthough the modern sig amps sound great on their own but they are only similiar and a reminicent of the real gear the arist used in the first place...

slash's tremolo modded PTP metalface jmp on appetite? the AFD
yjm's 1987 jmp metal face year 1972?? - the marshall yjm
kerry king's jcm 800 2204 year 1989 ???- the modern jcm 800 KK
joe satriani 6100? the jvm satriani model...

i like those amps for what they are though and a great move by marshall

1959RR for me. it's the only one actually "blueprinted" to my knowledge. the rest were either designed or just had someone's name slapped on an existing model.

and don't forget about the Lemmy sig bass amp.:naughty:

While I love the AFD100, I would have to say the 'best' sig amp Marshall has, would be the YJM100. This is the only amp that despite owning it since last August, and gigging it numerous times, continues to amaze me at how good it sounds and the wide variety of classic and vintagey sounds within. The AFD100 is a close second in my book but the YJM edges it out for best signature amp in my book.

You all know that i´m a 6100 lover. I have three of them.

BUT:

THEY CAN`T SOUND LIKE A JTM45/100 JIMI HENDRIX

Are these considered "signature"? If so, the 6100 I have with its matching cab definitely has a plethora for useable tones from semi-clean to crunch to overdriven to balls-out high-gain chunk :)

Cheers,

Matt.

I love my AFD, but to be honest, I haven't tried the others. If I had a clean channel, I would say hands down, this it the best. I LOVE the sounds I get from it.

JVM410HJS, hands down, the best Marshall ever made.

It does all cited tones and does them well.

Give it a couple years to be disseminated into the market.

You guys will see.
