1981 Marshall JCM 800 2203 | eBay

this is an original 2203 from 81.

He's asking ONLY $2500 for it! I have bought and sold more of these than I care to admit and never paid more than $1000 (all in the last 2-3 years, too).......all vertical input models. I could see maybe $1100 or maybe even $1200 in the right condition, but over 2 grand:wtf:

I told him so, and probably pissed him off, but oh well, I had to say something. He thinks the right buyer will come along, and he maybe right, but damn... what a fool if anybody pays that for one of these heads. They are not rare, not by a stretch.

discuss, please:hmm:

This.

PS - Hey IL! How the hell are ya!

Not Bad!! Haven't been in here for awhile, but I'm still rocking a few marshalls including the 2203 and 6100! Anything changed in here?

(Bieling3) Not a bad plan, setting the price high, and blaming the economy on why the amp won't sell! I need to try that on my wife. :hmm:

Bad thing is, I would like to buy that 2203:lol: But not for that price, here's hoping:fingersx:

I don't need another one though, seriously. That is my sickness talking again.

Starting bid is $2250 and "Buy It Now" is $2500. That's fuckin' funny.

He should have made the starting bid $2500 and the BIN $2500. Then he wouldn't screw himself. Right?

Yeah, I told him it would not sell, and of course I probably made him mad, but he was nice about it, so he's probably a nice guy, but I just had to say something, because I've been a member in this forum long enough, and I've owned and sold enough 800 amps to know what they sale for.

I hear ya Marty, the BIN and starting bid really don't make much sense, I guess he thinks that someone may be afraid they will lose it if they don't just buy it now.

I'll sell mine for 5K to whomever is interested. It is a rare 1983 model, with vertical inputs, Canadian edition. It sounds better than any of MichaelRT's amp too.

For an extra 25.00, I'll cryo treat it for that extra tone.

Or are husbands trying to convince their wives they're really trying to get rid of that extra amp they don't need... but setting the price so high so they can hold on to it.

Now this is fricken brilliant!
