Hello,

I have a 2266 and a 2466. At the time I loved the 2266 and then saw a 2466 for a deal so I bought it. That wouldn't happen today. I love the KT66's big time, but I absolutely hate the effects loops on the amps. I've tried every setting, different pedals, same crappy result. With delay for instance, you hear the repeats when you stop playing and when you are playing they are just not there.

My question is, what I were to have the effects lop replaced with something else? How does that affect the rest of the amp? Does it mess with the circuit. etc?

What is the best course of action other than dumping the amp(s)?

Can an external effects loop somehow solve the problem?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Im happy with my VM loop, though it might be because I haven't another amp that is similar enough to compare to. I use a string of all Hardwire pedals, trem, phaser, chorus, delay and reverb. I'm using the +4dB setting, which these pedals can deal with due to high internal voltage.
