Vox foot switches

Hi
I am having trouble trying to identify thr switches on a vox vfs2 and if they are latching or momentary
Also the vfs5 has an led
Does it get a voltage from the amp
Using a vox vx1 amp

I have conflicting info from vox amps regarding the foot switches vfs2 and vfs2a
One person tells me I should use one another tells me the other one
I am using a vox vx1 practice amp
I am trying to use the vfs2 but not sure if it works correctly
Does anyone know if I can convert to vfs2a
I know the fs2a has resistors and diodes
But I would be grateful if anyone can supply wiring diagrams and also explain the difference between how they work
