Strat/Tele/SG, lightweight.

I was never into Les Pauls but you gotta try
everything at one time so i bought one this year
thinking i miss something.

Its Strat/Tele/SG still.

Just curious....I have enough of both. I find my self picking up the cheaper ones (which I set up to play nicely) for practice rather than the Gibson LP's etc...
All the cheaper ones are out on stands/hangars, while most of the LP's and EVH's are in their cases.
I play weekly in a band and use my LP/EVH's but find myself playing the others at home because it's easier (probably not the right word) ???
I teach guitar at School of Rock and I beat it into my students heads to keep their guitars out and PLAY them !! Whenever you walk by, pick it up.
Keep it out of the case!!! They make more!!!!
Feel semi-hypocritical, but I think most of them have one guitar.
Anyway...I will take my $50 used Fender acoustic out on the dock and I don't care what I bang into or about the elements.
Didn't know if anyone had the same experience....
Recently, I have been playing my two LP Classic Lites for home practice, rehearsals, and gigs. Finally found the perfect guitar (for me) and bought two of them. Not emotionally attached to them, either, which is nice. If they were lost, stolen, or warped into the OASIS by Anorak, I would just replace them. No big deal.

I work my way through them all but I don't really have any cheap-o's except maybe for the brian moore. If I had it all over to do again I'd buy and use a couple of cheap beaters for gigs and keep the great guitars at home.

I don't have any beater guitars either. My three main players are a Gibson ES-335, ESP USA M-III for the Strat style, and Jackson Custom Kelly for the drop D chugging and pointy shape.

I’ve usually only owned 2-4 guitars at a time and always have a #1 I spend most of my playing time on. That #1 could be a Historic LP/Masterbuilt Strat or a Faded LP/SG Standard and it would be used for all gigs, jams, rehearsals and practice at home.

Currently only play at home, only have 2 guitars and play my 2019 TV Yellow singlecut LP Special exclusively. It’s always out on the stand in my music room and gets played for hours most days.

I tend to favor an '82 LP STD I bought as a beater as I sold a mint '96 LP STD that didn't have a mark on it - I was afraid to play it. The '82 is the I'm home guitar. I am enjoying a parts tele and a PRS Nick C model as I hate the blade switch on most PRS's.
