Picked up a pair of tickets today. Should be an awesome show with only 200 being sold, so my kind of show in an intimate club atmosphere. The staff there today told me they get to sit down with Johnny and the band for supper. I guess I should submit my application now :)

Cheers, Barrie.

I'm more impressed with uniqueness and character more than technical proficiency. If that were all I cared about, I'd only listen to Steve Vai and Alan Holdsworth

One that hasn't been mentioned....classically trained at the London Conservatory...Steve Howe

not mentioned with good reason.......saw him recently with asia and it must be said he was awful. always had a great deal of respect for him during his yes days...check out the solo at 2;45...:wtf:

if ever you needed a reason to not gig with a line 6 amp..just watch and listen to this..

Many many more, but these 3 probably in order have influenced me more than any other guitarists out there and are my favorite to listen to.
