I've never even messed with stereo cause I've never felt the need too, I get all the delay sounds in mono that I need & don't really use chorus. I play in a two guitar band so I feel stereo would get in the way, also I couldn't be bothered lugging extra amps to gigs.
There are no rental places where I am, the last to go was Blockbuster. Even my daughter misses it & she is only 12. I used to take her down on a Friday & rent a few for the weekend, I collect horror movies so used to enjoy raking through the sale section, got some bargain classics.
Those are great little amps, i had a chance to play through one years ago, i had my 12 Reverb with me at a friends & the stack blew it away, still love mine though. :)
The closest I've come to that was when i had a 2205 & it's 100w combo version. I'm not really a fan of combos, maybe a Fender Twin or AC30 but for Marshall i doubt i would buy a combo again.
P.S Still love my 12 Reverb though. :)
I have my parents old reel to reel, it was made in 1966 & has a little valve in it, really cool. I have 4 or 5 tapes with all old 60s & 70s music on them, i grew up listening to those tapes from as far back as i can remember.
I'll take a picture of it & post it later.
Rod Stewart started off good but turned into a fucking sellout, listen to the latest Stone album & his?? That fucking American Songbook stuff? Just NO!!!
It depends on the time of year. In the summer I set up my rig in the garage & play a lot but in the winter it's to cold for that & I really only play at band rehearsal & gigs.
Summer = play
Winter = post.
If Marshall themselves say it was EL34s then I would be inclined to believe them but your tech could also be right, maybe it was modded to take 6550s at some point, '89 was a long time ago, unless you have owned it from new.
I usually kick off my drinking with an ale, I like pretty much anything from the Wychwood brewery, i still like to get drunk of a weekend so after that it's just your run of the mill Coors Light or Bud but i prefer Coors Light.

Shame you are in the States or I would have taken it off your hands.
I picked up my Midi Mate last year, mine is the older one, I really like it, pretty easy to programme too.
