i play an origin 50h through a avatar 212 sealed cab with v30s and it will split your wig... lol. it has alot of punch you can feel. i cant see a sv20 being louder but i dont own a sv20.
i just changed the speaker in my 68 prri to a celestion g10 vintage and it is surprisingly alot louder and...
you are a good neighbor then. if someone around here played loud music at 3:30am on a week day the law would probably be called or there would be a fight or my wife may shoot someone.....lol...and we live in the country, my nearest neighbor is probably 200 yards away.
i know what you mean i own a blues jr and a princeton and the jr does not work like this. yep, gain up then bring the master up sounds best to me. im surprised how good this amp sounds compared to my 68 prri. always wanted a marshall now i finally own one...:applause:
well thats strange since it already has a tilt pot. you would think it would take lows out when you turn the gain up. so your saying it introduces bass or low frequencies to clip the preamp tubes?
i have the origin 50h and if i run the master to 10 and the gain on 2 or 3 as suggested it sounds thin, harsh and trebly but if i run the gain on 8 or 10 and the master on 2 or 3 the tone is thick and creamy, anyone know why? bias is set to 75 mv and the plate voltage with the tubes in 440v.
i know this is an older thread but can anyone tell me why the amp sounds fuller/warmer with the gain on about 8? even when the master is down on 2 it sounds way warmer and full with the gain up. even on the low power setting it sounds way fuller and warmer with the gain on 8. it almost seems...
anyone use a fender bassbreaker 212 cab? its suppose to be made of birch ply. the marshall ori212 looks to be make of particle board. im looking for something in this price range or cheaper.
