Try this setting with the V30's. I got a killer metal setting, I do use EMG's though.
Channel 4 red
Resonance - 11 o'clock
Presence - 3 o'clock
Bass - 1 o'clock
Middle - 9 o'clock
Treble - 11 o'clock
Gain - 12 o'clock
Mid shift - off
Works killer for the real heavy songs we play.
Anybody using the 1H straight into the board? I've been toying with this idea for a while. I've tried searching the topic but can't find anything. Do you just switch to .1 watt and go from line out to the board with a regular guitar cable? No cab hookup needed?
Thanks,
Pat
I assume you played around with the EQ on the 210. I find when I go from G12T's to V30's the EQ is totally different but the V30's sound better. I do have the HJS though, so that might make a huge difference.
I did. That's why I opened the 1960, it lacked the tight punch and clarity of the Traynor. So being the way I am I opened up the Marshall and put in the V30's that were in the Traynor. I took it to practice and that was that. So I did lie a bit, I opened it, tried the 30's(and GB's), pulled them...
Obviously I ruffled a few feathers of the diehard Marshall fanatics on here, that wasn't my intention. The HJS I have is absolutely killer and I was hoping the cabs were the same. Maybe I just got a bad one, and I say that because it was bad and sounded horrible with the stock G12T's, V30's and...
.....and again, do a little research bro, I'm in Canada. I pay $1100 for a 19060A. And I'm almost positive guys are saying the older one had a ply back: anyway, too much change for me, I'll go elsewhere for a good cab.
I will point out that this all can be fixed but to hell if I'm going to spend time fixing an $1100 cab. I paid $770 for the Traynor and its more solid, build better, and sound better with the same speakers, and I have to do nothing to it. Im not really sure if anyone can argue that Mesa, Orange...
OK, I have a new one and it sucks, lol!! If it sucks, it sucks, I guess that is the point. I love my HJS but the cab is sub par. I'm not trying to stir up all you Marshall lovers, just stating the fact! Center brace was almost falling off, plastic handles, big gaps in the joints where the baffle...
Opened up my 1960A and my Traynor YCS412A2 to do some speaker swapping. Immediately closed up the Marshall and sold it!! Lol. Build quality of the Traynor is twice the Marshall, and for over $300 less! I just ordered the straight version. I'm a huge Marshall fan so this kind of pi$$ed me off. I...
Not sure you want to put distortion and such in the loop but if you do, fill your boots! Do what the above poster said. If you would like to route them in a better fashion so they sound good, research the four cable method.
Guitar>HD400 input
HD400 FX send > amp input
amp FX send > HD400 FX return
HD400 mono output > amp FX return
With this 4CM method you will be able to put your dirt, wah, phaser, etc.. out front and your mods and delays in the loop.
Since you didn't mention what analog pedals you have, I...
Yes, it is fully programmable. Bank 1, preset 1 can have clean green with effects loop, master 2, reverb and any of the pedals you have connected to the 8 loops. You can have up to 4 pedals in front and 4 in the loop. Preset B any combo, preset C any combo, etc.... up to 24 presets, if I recall...
It's too bad these companies building low what heads don't put an effects loop as standard. I love using the loop for delay, chorus and verb, and I like the idea of low watt heads as I don't always use my HJS. My 1 watt JVM has one and it's killer. I've sold a ton of low watters that sounded...
