    hey, thanks you guys for the advice -- for the time being, im just gonna replace the speakers with.... any suggestions? :P and replace the preamp tubes with a new set of ECC83.. hows that sound gonna save the 800 for later... maybe in college (in berklee -- ow yea!) imma get it :D

    naah.. i dont really care bout the fx loops or the reverb.. and im planning on having a hotplate in front of it (if i get one). also whats the difference between the reissue and the original? in terms of tone? its all about the tone eh? :D

    yep... it works well from the last time i checked. its odd... should i just sell the DSL and get a JCM 800 instead? i dont get why jcm 800s are more expensive than DSL, the DSL is said to be able to acquire a jcm 800 sound... even more! why??!! so... cab models doesnt actually matter...

    im only going straight through the amp.. not using any effects... so i dont think the fx loop influence the sound of the amp itself right? (though im still confused about using the fx loop XD) the speaker cable i think is fine, coz its a planet wave cable and i just recently got it... but...

    hey u guys... i recently bought a jcm 2000 dsl 100 used, and the sound is lacking gain, even though the gain knob is already at 10. thats on lead 1 btw. on lead 2, the gain knob is at 10, and its still lacking sustain. i checked the back of the amp... and the tubes look fine to me. personally...
