yeah it was the same chap, i had the action lowered to an insane level. All looks fine but then I don't understand too much about what tension the strings are under at the saddle and how the set up can snap them.
\i keep breaking the A&D strings on BOTH my telecaster & les Paul within a fes days of fitting then. The worst case was last night at the gig - i had only fitted them the previous day?
They always break at the bridge but Ive had both guitars set up professionally, started using .73 picks and...
Anyone know what pickups come in a 1997 Firebird V?
Should I keep them or change for P90's? Lots of comments raving about the P90's but others rave about "the pickups pre 2010 issue" - to which im not clear about. I love the Firebird sound but also love a "ballsy" sound :naughty:
Cheers....
Any one know what pick ups are in the 97 v model? Ive read that the 2010 ceramics aren't as good as the earlier standard issue pickups but was wondering if the '97 issues are "hot" or not :)
If not, what should I replace with - we are indie/rock (more rock) :headbanger:
Thanks, will go for it! My first "Real" guitar ! (The les is an epiphone - but we recorded using a gibson too and you seriously cant tell the difference).
Hi, 2 questions:
1: Any idea how much I should pay for a very good condition 1997 Gibson Firebird V (sunburst)?? Ive seen one for £850
2. Will it handle Pearl Jam "esc" rock and play well with a les Paul?
Cheers!
cheers willscott, :applause: the 1960a is the only cab I didn't look at
I'll get it ordered and thanks for your time!
Rich
My cab is paired with a TSL60, quite enjoying trying to find my "tone" but nearly there.
Cheers willscott, I have tried that but the M412A seems to be larger dimensions than all the others listed. I assumed marshall and other sites would already have one made for it but I cant see one.
On the marshall products page they say its the "same size as a standard 4x12" but its not...
Check this out on ebay - I'm in Cornwall. Poss take a little less for quick sale. Ive upgraded to a jcm2000 TSL60, sweet:dude:

Cheers will55555, I do use plugs at the moment although any plug will reduce the quality of tone etc and I find it hard to sing backing with them in. I suppose the easiest route is to buy a db meter but they are about £20 - £30 and was hoping that it could just be calculated by knowing certain...
Hi people, I recently purchased a TSL60 head and an M412 cab. The SPL on the cab is approx 128db.
Can anybody help me to work out what the db level will be if I played the TSL on max - we gig a lot and just trying to think of the lo hearing. I can cope quite well with my current tinnitus...
Hi,
My new TSL60 cuts out for half a second when changing from clean to crunch (but not from crunch to lead or visa versa).
This is a pain and surly shouldn't happen - none of my previous marshalls have done this and really didn't expect it from an obvious gigging rig.
Is there...
