A note on the older cabs who are labeled 260 watts on the back panel.
One would assume they where loaded with 65 watts Celestions?
4 x 65 = 260 right?
Well I have owned a couple of these cabs and they where all loaded with G12-75's! So the only way to tell really is to open the cab and...
Well F**k them! :naughty:
Just kidding...
But my original plan was to have double full stacks and I intend to get that.
I don't play unnecessarily loud. I always match my volume to the drummer and the rest of the band. it just feels better in front of a lot of speakers! And it looks cool!
No there is no shortage of Marshall 4x12's in Sweden.
I'm just a bit poor right now and this cab was really cheap!
Yeah I know it is a rare cab.
That's why I'm thinking of making a new baffle so I can keep the original baffle intact.
I have an old baffle laying around that I can use.
It is...
I bought a cab today.
I got it really cheap because one of the speakers was dead. (Two 16 ohms 75 watt Celestions.)
We opened the cab and tried it with the cables wired direct to the faulty speaker but it is indeed dead. I have a spare G12T-75 that I will put in tomorrow.
Then my plan is...
Hi.
I have thought about your problem.
1. When you turned off the Midiverb, did you leave the AC plugged into the power outlet? Try unplugging it and see if it makes any difference.
2. I have read about ground loops going through the screws that hold the unit to the rack. You could try to...
My late grand mother had severe arthritis and the doctor recommended more vegetables and better food. Cut down on meat and get some exercise.
I don't know if it would help as my grand mother was a stubborn old lady who didn't like vegetables and didn't like to exercise!
She kept eating meat...
Powerage is my favorite album and I think the guitar sound is among the best I ever heard! The rawness and almost clean distortion.
Listen to Down Payment Blues. What a sound!
I can most certainly see a market for this product!
I think the first cab has a stain on the grill cloth because it stays in the same place even when photographed from the side.
The second cabs looks alright to me but it is a bit strange to not include a straight on photo.
Guitar -> Tuner -> Amp (Diezel or RedBear.)
In the loop: Send -> Nobel's A/B-V used as solo level boost -> Rocktron Intellifex -> Return.
The effects used in the Rocktron Intellifex are mainly Hush and Delay.
If I connect a midi pedal I don't have to use the Nobel's A/B-V for solo boost...
Haha!
I am not in any band at the moment so all my gear is at home.
But some friends and I are in the process of starting up a power trio to play some garage rock. So maybe my kitchen rocking days are over soon...
I have owned both the Boss NS-2 and the MXR smart gate.
I prefer the Boss NS-2 as I think it is a little easier to set up.
I haven't tried the X-pattern though. I just put it in the loop before my rack delay and set the threshold until it is quiet.
When I had a really noisy H&K Switchblade...
Ahahaha! :naughty: :laugh2:
I'm Swedish but I have never heard of this. (It is in the Stockholm area.)
But I do know you can't always trust the newspapers.
The bicycle f**ker looks like an "interesting" dude! :hmm:
The loop in most amps is located between the preamp and power amp. The most common is after gain and tone stack, but before the master volume.
Delay and reverb sounds good in the loop.
The loop is also a good place to put some pedal to raise the volume for solos. Like a MXR Micro Amp for...
