I bought a cab today.

I got it really cheap because one of the speakers was dead. (Two 16 ohms 75 watt Celestions.)

We opened the cab and tried it with the cables wired direct to the faulty speaker but it is indeed dead. I have a spare G12T-75 that I will put in tomorrow.

Then my plan is to make a 4x12 out of it as it is the same size as a normal 1960a. Either just drill out two more speaker holes or make a new baffle.

They didn't make those cabs in 1961 did they?

Pretty rare, I would keep it original.

Seriously though, they are kinda hard to find, and would be great in a small jam room as is.
Maybe the 4x12 in Sweden is hard to come by.
Great looking cab, and good score:D

If you like the G12T-75, then I would load it up with two Eminence Man 'O Wars. Two MOW's are louder than four 75's and you would have better low end response due to the volume of the cab with two speakers.

You don't always need four 12's to be as loud as four 12's.

No there is no shortage of Marshall 4x12's in Sweden.
I'm just a bit poor right now and this cab was really cheap!

Yeah I know it is a rare cab.
That's why I'm thinking of making a new baffle so I can keep the original baffle intact.
I have an old baffle laying around that I can use.
It is not angled though so I have to work out how to modify it to make it work in this cab.

Eminence Wizards. 75W each 103.5db 1W/1m sensitivity. I had 2 of these in an oversized 2x12 closed back cab. simply amazing. and loud.....

Cool cab
Dont see those too often
Just put two G 12 65's in there and be done with it. No need for a 4x12 baffle , it'll only make it louder and people will hate you more .......

Well F**k them! :naughty:
Just kidding...
But my original plan was to have double full stacks and I intend to get that.
I don't play unnecessarily loud. I always match my volume to the drummer and the rest of the band. it just feels better in front of a lot of speakers! And it looks cool!
